Pinot-Grigio Friuli Colli Orientali DOP 2024

  La Tunella's Pinot Grigio is an outstanding example of the fine art of Friulian winemaking. The grapes come from the Colli Orientali del Friuli, an area known for its “Ponca” soils—a mixture of sandstone and marl that gives the wines minerality and structure. The Zorzettig family, who have been running the winery since the 1960s, combine traditional cultivation methods with modern techniques to unlock the full potential of the grape variety. The vineyards benefit from a microclimate that supports the freshness and elegance of Pinot Grigio.

In the glass, La Tunella Pinot Grigio presents itself in an intense straw yellow color that becomes even more intense with increasing maturity. The bouquet is reminiscent of the crust of a warm loaf of bread, complemented by notes of acacia blossoms and ripe tropical fruits. On the palate, the wine displays an elegant structure with moderate acidity and delicate yeast notes.
