  The name of the Cordisasso is a poetic allusion to the stony soils of the morainic hills south of Lake Garda, which give this powerful Rosso Veronese IGT its unmistakable mineral signature. In this blend, the indigenous, fruit-forward Corvina grape meets the international austerity of Cabernet Sauvignon, resulting in an exciting symbiosis that captivates in the glass with a deep, almost impenetrable red. The nose is spoiled by an intense interplay of scents, where ripe morello cherries and cassis combine with spicy notes of black pepper and a subtle trace of vanilla, pointing to skillful aging in wooden barrels.

On the palate, the full force of this wine unfolds, with the robust structure of the Cabernet being wonderfully cushioned by the velvety nature of the Corvina, creating a full-bodied but never heavy drinking sensation. Through maturation, the tannins have polished off harmoniously, giving the wine a long, warming finish that remains present for minutes afterwards.
