Project XXX: Unique Wines as Coveted Collectors’ Items
Innovation and a Spirit of Experimentation at the Forefront
Project XXX is much more than just a wine line—it’s a commitment to innovation, experimentation, and exclusivity. Each Triple X wine is born from the idea of giving cellar master Andreas Moser the freedom to explore and showcase the innovative spirit of Kellerei Kaltern. These wines are produced in strictly limited editions and stand out both in taste and appearance from the classic range. Every label is a statement, reflecting the extraordinary character of each wine.
Every Triple X Wine: A One-of-a-Kind Collectible for Connoisseurs
What makes Project XXX truly special is the fact that every wine is a genuine one-off. There are no second vintages, no re-releases—each Triple X wine is produced only once and is never repeated. This uniqueness turns every wine into a coveted collector’s item, making the hearts of wine lovers and collectors beat faster. Whoever gets their hands on a Triple X wine holds a piece of winemaking history that will never exist in the same way again.
Unconventional Methods for Exceptional Wines
The production of Triple X wines is characterized by unconventional and innovative methods. Cellar master Andreas Moser deliberately uses new, sometimes risky techniques to fully realize the potential of each grape. Spontaneous fermentations and other experimental approaches are employed—methods rarely found in the classic assortment. “It is very important to me to put new theoretical knowledge into practice,” Moser emphasizes. Every experiment is carefully calculated and carried out with great attention to detail, because high risk also brings enormous potential for outstanding results.
From Playful Experiment to Special Edition
Project XXX is the creative playground of Kellerei Kaltern. Here, new ideas are tested, boundaries are pushed, and extraordinary wines are created that surprise and delight. What starts as an experiment can, with patience and success, even find its way into the regular range. Thus, a bold experiment can become a special edition—and perhaps, one day, a new classic for Kellerei Kaltern.
Conclusion: Unique Wines with Collector Value
Project XXX stands for wines that exist only once. Each unique bottle is the result of passion, innovation, and craftsmanship. Owning a Triple X wine means holding not just a rarity, but a fascinating testament to modern winemaking. For collectors and connoisseurs, these wines are true treasures—exclusive, limited, and full of surprises. - Gerardo [TS05/25]
Andreas Moser, cellar master of the Kaltern Winery:
"It is a great concern of mine to put new theoretical knowledge into practice, that is, to simply try something new. The Kaltern Winery gives me this space. The goal is always to further develop our wines. This is sometimes risky, but with know-how and technology it is always calculable. A lot of risk also holds a lot of potential for great results! As in the case of spontaneous fermentation, which we use not only for exceptional projects, but also in part for our standard range - controlled, of course, and with great conscientiousness.'
"We like to leave familiar territory and love to surprise our customers with exceptional wines. These are all processes that you don't really associate with a cooperative: experimental work, outside the normal portfolio. Always with the goal in mind of implementing new techniques in the long term. In this way, a gimmick becomes a special edition and, with a little patience, a new wine for our selection line, which is then produced on a larger scale.'
