Chelucci Linguine are elegant, flat pasta strands, often referred to as 'little tongues', reminiscent of slightly flattened spaghetti. This specific shape offers an increased surface area ideal for transporting delicate aromas, making them the perfect partner for maritime classics like 'Linguine alle Vongole' or delicate pestos. Their slender structure harmonizes particularly well with light oil or herb sauces, as they gently coat the ingredients without dominating them, ensuring an exquisite balance and a smooth mouthfeel.
At the Chelucci manufactory, this specialty is crafted from premium Tuscan durum wheat semolina and clear spring water. Through the use of traditional bronze molds, the pasta acquires a microscopically rough surface for optimal sauce adhesion, while slow drying at low temperatures preserves the quality of the grain.
