The grapes for this graceful meditation wine come from a single vineyard below Castle Tyrol. Even in its production, great care and attention to detail is paramount. The best clone material, meticulous yield regulation and the most elaborate manual labor are the credo here. After gentle whole cluster pressing with natural sedimentation, this masterpiece is left to rest for one year in oak barrels and another 4 years in steel barrels on the fine lees. I Sodi di S. Niccolò · IGT 2017

I Sodi di San Niccolo - the flagship of Castellare di Castellina - comes from the vineyard around the church of San Niccolo: this almost pure Sangioveto (Sangiovese) is complemented with Malvasia Nera, both from vines almost 30 years old. The color is an intense ruby red with garnet highlights. The aroma is fruity and reminiscent of wild berries, underlined by spices and some vanilla. This wine reached the top 100 of Wine Specator magazine several times and also received the coveted award of 3 glasses in the wine guide Gambero Rosso.

Barren soils are a basic requirement for high quality wines. Therefore, the sites where the vine has to fight for water and food are the most sought-after for Tuscan winemakers. Sande · Pinot-Nero IGT 2013

Intense ruby color, nose present aromas of plum and rum pot, typical of dried grapes. Harmoniously combines spicy notes with hints of ripe red fruit. The fine and persistent tannins balance the high alcohol content and provide an overall very persistent finish.

The history of Pinot Noir Sande dates back to the late 80s. The extremely low yields due to the cultivation create a grape material that has an exceptionally high concentration of sugar and aromas. Quarz · Sauvignon DOC 2022

The sparkling yellow-green appearance of this Sauvignon is impressive. Its aroma is enticingly exotic, with a multi-layered fruit of mango, papaya, lime and red grapefruit. Löwengang Chardonnay has not only shaped the success story of Alois Lageder, but also established the quality status of the wine country of South Tyrol. It was the first white wine in the country to successfully position itself on international markets in the 1980s.
