Pinot-Grigio DOC 2024 (Bio)

  The Alois Lageder Pinot Grigio from South Tyrol impressively demonstrates how a grape variety known for being rather “light” can achieve clarity and express its origins in the hands of a biodynamic winery. The grapes come from selected sites with limestone- and gravel-rich soils in the lowlands of South Tyrol, where the interplay of alpine freshness and Mediterranean warmth gives the wine structure and fine minerality. After careful selection and processing that is as natural as possible, fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, with a small proportion also coming into contact with skins and stems, which lends the wine a subtle character.

In the glass, this Pinot Grigio displays a straw-yellow color with a subtle golden sheen. The bouquet captivates with aromas of peach, melon, and delicate hints of spice, supported by a fresh, mineral-based structure. On the palate, this ripe fruitiness combines with clear elegance and a fine texture: the wine is smooth, well-structured, and has a long finish.
