Casanova di Neri's Rosso di Montalcino embodies the winery's unmistakable signature in an accessible yet characterful wine that elegantly reflects the uniqueness of the terroir and the philosophy of the house. Often referred to as Brunello's “little brother,” this Rosso nevertheless develops its own personality, which impresses with its subtle nuances, clear structure, and harmonious balance. The grapes come from carefully selected vineyards and are vinified with the same dedication and precision as those for Brunello, ensuring remarkable quality.

On the palate, the wine displays powerful fruitiness supported by an elegant, well-integrated structure, conveying an immediate sense of finesse and sophistication. This Rosso di Montalcino demonstrates the winery's many years of experience and passion for the terroir, while offering an accessible introduction to the world of Montalcino wines without sacrificing expressiveness and depth of character. - Gerardo [TS10/23]

Casanova di Neri's Rosso di Montalcino appears in the glass with a clear ruby red color that visually hints at the wine's fruity freshness and elegant structure. The nose reveals a delicate bouquet of cherries, red berries, and subtle floral notes, underpinned by gentle spicy nuances reminiscent of vanilla and delicate herbs. A subtle minerality hints at the limestone and clay soils of the sunny slopes of Montalcino, which give the wine its characteristic freshness and balance.

On the palate, Rosso di Montalcino is harmonious and easy to drink, with well-integrated tannins and a lively acidity that elegantly supports the wine's fruitiness. The finish is pleasantly long, fresh, and aromatic, making the wine appealing both in its youth and with some aging. Particularly noteworthy is the Sangiovese grape variety, cultivated here as Sangiovese Grosso, which is typical of Montalcino and gives this Rosso its unmistakable depth and finesse. The traditional vineyards of Casanova di Neri reflect the terroir of Tuscany in every sip, combining the region's long winemaking tradition with contemporary elegance. - Gerardo [TS10/23]
