Scalette is the Soave Cru from the house of Gianni Tessari: A Soave Classico true to the terroir, fully fermented, with a straw yellow color and only a little residual sugar. The bouquet is very fine and reminiscent of white flowers and light fruit flesh. The palate is full-bodied with a slight almond note and fresh finish. - Gerardo [TS01/22]
Gerardo's Notes: Like a statue whose soul is hidden in the raw material: such is this Soave Classico DOC. A cru produced in a hilly area with predominantly calcareous soils. A Soave Classico DOC in which the limestone is immediately recognizable: a soft material that is easy to shape, friable. Extremely malleable. And like the most graceful works of art, the wine of such a terroir is gentle. Its delicacy is immediately noticeable on the nose, in a very fine bouquet of white flowers and white-fleshed fruits.
