  The “Leuchtenberg” Kalterersee Classico Superiore from the Kaltern Winery is a red wine that embodies the tradition and elegance of South Tyrolean winemaking. Made from the indigenous Vernatsch grape variety, also known as Schiava in this region, the grapes thrive in the historic vineyards around Lake Kaltern. These vineyards are characterized by their warm microclimates and mineral-rich soils, which provide ideal conditions for the grapes to ripen. After harvesting, the grapes are gently processed to preserve the typical aromas and freshness of the Vernatsch grape.

In the glass, the “Leuchtenberg” Kalterersee Classico Superiore presents itself in a bright cherry red. The bouquet unfolds delicate floral notes of violets, accompanied by aromas of red berries such as strawberries and raspberries, which give the wine a charming fruitiness. On the palate, the wine is juicy and full-bodied, with a round, smooth finish accompanied by a subtle hint of bitter almonds.
