Soll · Pinot-Grigio DOC 2021

  The Soll Pinot Grigio from the Kaltern winery is characterized by a carefully crafted terroir profile: the grapes come from South Tyrolean hillsides with calcareous and loamy soils, which, together with a balanced temperature profile of hot days and cool nights, enable optimal ripening. Whole grape pressing and a controlled aging method in stainless steel tanks—partly supplemented by the use of large wooden barrels—highlight the elegant structure of this grape variety. The winemaker's signature is evident in a precise balance between fruitiness, subtle wood nuances, and mineral depth, clearly emphasizing the wine's origin.

In the glass, the wine presents itself in a light straw yellow with subtle greenish reflections - a visual promise of freshness and clarity. The bouquet reveals notes of ripe pears, sweet melon, hazelnut, and a delicate hint of vanilla, which comes from the subtle aging in wood. On the palate, the wine is round and smooth, with the fruit remaining present, while subtle wood tones and a noticeable minerality refine the finish.
