Stegher · Chardonnay Riserva DOC 2021

  The “Stegher” Chardonnay Riserva from the Bolzano Winery is a masterpiece of South Tyrolean viticulture that reflects the high level of craftsmanship of the winemakers. The grapes for this special Chardonnay thrive on the warm, steep porphyry slopes above Bolzano, at around 650 meters above sea level. These unique locations offer ideal conditions for the vines, which can develop their full potential here. After selective harvesting, the grapes are gently pressed, followed by fermentation in barriques and tonneaux, where the wine matures on the fine lees. This long maturation period gives the “Stegher” remarkable complexity and depth.

In the glass, the “Stegher” Chardonnay Riserva presents itself in an intense straw yellow color with greenish reflections. The bouquet seduces with aromas of ripe tropical fruits such as pineapple, mango, and honeydew melon, accompanied by delicate vanilla notes and a hint of toasted wood. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and harmonious, with well-integrated acidity and a fine minerality that gives it a pleasant freshness.
