Mumelter · Cabernet Riserva DOC 2020

  The “Mumelter” Cabernet Riserva from the Bolzano Winery is an impressive expression of South Tyrolean winemaking. The grapes come from the renowned Mumelterhof in Leitach near Bolzano, a region known for its weathered porphyry soils. These soils, combined with the mild climate of the hillsides at around 330 meters above sea level, provide ideal conditions for the vines. After traditional red wine fermentation in wooden barrels, the wine is aged for about a year in French barriques and large wooden barrels, giving it additional depth and complexity.

In the glass, the “Mumelter” presents itself in a deep ruby red with violet reflections. The bouquet is intense and complex: aromas of blackcurrants, blackberries, and cranberries combine with subtle pepper notes and pleasant roasted aromas. On the palate, the wine is powerful and elegant at the same time, with well-integrated tannins and a harmonious finish.
