Gerardo's Notes: The Pinot Blanc grape variety - the French name of the Pinot Blanc - was brought to South Tyrol around 1850 by Archduke Johann von Österreich. It thrives best in sites with dry, clayey and calcareous soils and large temperature differences between day and night. The Pinot Blanc is always fresh fullness on the palate with a fruity bouquet of yellow Äpfeln and subtle notes of peach and pineapple.
