The South Tyrolean Chardonnay Riserva Stegher has a straw-yellow color with a slight green tinge. Exotic notes reminiscent of pineapple, mango and honeydew melon unfold on the nose and are underlined by a subtle hint of vanilla. On the palate, this Chardonnay is powerful, with well-integrated acidity and a present mineral note that emphasizes its complexity. The vineyards for the Chardonnay Stegher are located above Bolzano and are rooted in poor porphyry soils, which gives this wine its powerful but elegant profile with great ageing potential. - Gerardo [TS10/20]
