From the 13th century until the early modern times, 'Traminer' was the most famous wine from the South Tyrol area. Over the centuries, the Gewürztraminer grape, starting from its place of origin Tramin, has spread throughout the wine world. On the south exposed Kurtatsch hillsides, the highly aromatic Gewürztraminer finds its ideal habitat: limestone and clay soils! Here a full-bodied wine with a strong backbone and concentrated, baroque aroma is produced. A pronounced mineral nerve lends a lingering freshness to the almost oily body, redolent of roses, magnolias and lychees. - Gerardo [TS07/23]
