  The “Freienfeld” Chardonnay Riserva from the Kurtatsch Winery embodies a select piece of South Tyrol: in the best plots around the historic “Freienfeld” estate near Kurtatsch, Chardonnay vines take root in sandy, gravelly, calcareous soils with patches of clay quartzite—a combination that gives the wine a distinctive minerality and reliable depth. The grapes are selected with great care, fermented in French barriques, and accompanied by intensive fine lees aging — a process that harmoniously combines fruit, origin, and style of ripeness.

In the glass, the Riserva displays a bright light gold color with subtle greenish glints - a visual signal of vitality and elegance. The bouquet opens with ripe yellow stone fruits such as peach and apricot, exotic pineapple and a hint of coconut, as well as vanilla-like toasted aromas that speak of wood and fine yeast aging. On the palate, this aromatic power is combined with a velvety texture, polished tannins, and a clear, long-lasting structure - the finish is long, precise, and beautifully present.
