Lagrein Classic DOC 2022

  The “Lagrein Classic” from the Meran Burggräfler Winery stylishly reflects all the power and origins of this indigenous South Tyrolean variety. The vines are rooted in the slopes around Merano and Lana on permeable moraine debris, a soil that provides depth and minerality. The grapes are carefully selected, the maceration is controlled, and a short aging in wooden barrels is applied—a process that harmoniously combines structure and fruit.

In the glass, this Lagrein displays a deep ruby to garnet red color - a visual announcement of its richness. The nose opens with aromas of sour cherry and plum, complemented by notes of violet and dark chocolate that reveal its botanical origins. On the palate, it combines a velvety texture with a present fruit core and well-integrated tannins - a wine of bubbling intensity and, at the same time, fine style.
