  The “Graf” Lagrein from the Merano Winery is a powerful statement of the indigenous variety from South Tyrol's sunny slopes. The vines are rooted in light, permeable scree and sandy soils in the Merano region—an origin that lends depth, concentration, and a distinctive voice. The grapes are carefully selected, fermentation takes place under controlled temperature conditions, followed by storage in used barriques and tonneaux, which gives the wine structure without masking its fruitiness and originality.

In the glass, Graf Lagrein is dark ruby red with violet reflections - a visual indication of its presence. The nose reveals aromas of ripe dark berries, sour cherry, fig, and a delicate hint of chocolate and violet, accompanied by tart, spicy notes that reflect the South Tyrolean terroir. On the palate, this dense fruit combines with velvety, well-integrated tannins and a harmonious length; the wine is powerful yet elegant - ideal with game dishes, mature cheese, or simply for a moment of conscious enjoyment. - Gerardo [TS10/22]
