Blauburgunder DOC 2024

  The “Muri-Gries” Pinot Nero from South Tyrol is a delicate interpretation of the Pinot Nero variety, rooted in the traditional environment of the monastery winery in Bolzano. The grapes thrive on sandy and limestone-rich gravel soils in the steep terraced vineyards of Eppan and Bolzano, where cool mountain nights and sunny days produce elegant aromas. After careful selection, the berries are fermented at a controlled temperature and then stored for several months in large wooden barrels—a process that gives the fruit depth while clearly expressing its origin.

In the glass, this Pinot Noir shines in a light ruby color with violet reflections, and the nose is accompanied by aromas of ripe cherry, wild berries, and a hint of herbs such as laurel and tarragon, underpinned by a fine spiciness reminiscent of a South Tyrolean hillside. On the palate, this fruity presence combines with well-integrated, grippy tannins and a lively texture: the wine shows both structure and fullness, appearing youthful yet stylishly mature.
