Pinot Grigio DOC 2024

  The Pinot Grigio white wine from the Muri-Gries monastery winery in South Tyrol is an impressive example of how elegance, origin, and varietal character can be experienced in a glass. The grapes ripen in the terraced vineyards around Bolzano and Appiano on limestone and gravel-rich soils, which, combined with a sunny location and alpine freshness, create an excellent combination for expressiveness. After careful hand harvesting, gentle fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks - a process that preserves the purity of the variety as well as clarity and freshness.

In the glass, this Pinot Grigio is a light straw yellow with delicate greenish reflections - a visual indication of lightness and precision. The bouquet unfolds fresh notes of Williams pear, green apple, citrus, and herbs such as lemon balm and mint; this fruit is underpinned by a subtle nutty or buttery nuance that gives the wine additional depth.
