  The “Leiten” Gewürztraminer from the Nals-Margreid winery is vinified from the aromatic Gewürztraminer grape variety and benefits from the limestone-rich clay-gravel soils with a south-easterly orientation in the Bassa Atesina at 350 to 550 meters above sea level. After harvesting by hand, the grapes are gently pressed, followed by approximately three days of fermentation in stainless steel tanks and subsequent aging on the fine lees for around five months. This careful cellar management ensures a clear expressiveness that perfectly brings out the strong character of the variety.

In the glass, this white wine displays a bright straw yellow color with delicate greenish hues. The nose reveals spicy and floral notes, including rose petals, cloves, and tropical fruits such as lychee and pineapple, accompanied by a subtle hint of rosemary. On the palate, the wine impresses with its full body, rich fruit, and elegant freshness, which lingers discreetly and sustainably on the finish. The “Leiten” Gewürztraminer is an excellent versatile accompaniment to appetizers with exotic spices, spicy Asian dishes, or simply as a standalone wine for special moments. - Gerardo [TS10/23]
