Under the name Respiri, Nanfro's flagship wine has been produced for several years: a labor-intensive blend of Nero d'Avola from 20-year-old vines, 30% Syrah and other complementary grapes. After 18 months of barrel aging, the result is an extremely complex, multi-layered and exceedingly smooth red wine. As is typical of all Nanfro wines, this wine is dominated by fruit, with the wood remaining discreetly in the background. - Gerardo [TS06/13]
Beautiful to look at also the labels of the winery: the patterns come from the staircase of the church of Santa Maria del Monte in Caltagirone.
