Barbaresco Riserva Pora owes its particular elegance and structure to the clayey and calcareous soils with sandy inclusions that give the single vineyard its unmistakable character. On the nose, it unfolds intense aromas of dark fruits, accompanied by fine spice notes and subtle floral nuances that give it depth and refinement.

"The 2019 Barbaresco Riserva Pora is a pretty tightly wound wine, certainly moreso than is typically the case for this Barbaresco, which is often much more engaging in the early going. Dried herbs, tobacco, cedar and earthiness lend notable savory nuance in this decidedly nervy, somber Pora.
