Schreckbichl, South Tyrol
On the site Menzen near Schreckbichl grow the old Vernatsch vines for this archetypal South Tyrolean red wine. The color is bright ruby red, the aroma is pleasantly fruity. The palate is round and velvety with some aroma of toasted almond in the aftertaste. Perfect companion of the South Tyrolean Marende. - Gerardo [TS06/23]

Gerardo's Notes: For the exquisite wines of the Praedium line, the grapes are pressed separately from selected sites around famous historic estates and vineyards. The Roman 'Praedium', the estate, is a symbol of a grown wine culture. Old vines in the mixed Vernatsch set (Klein-, Mitter- and Grauvernatsch) give this wine an unusual amount of fruit and depth. Bright ruby red, an abundance of fresh aromas and fragrances such as violets and sour cherry rounded off with velvety tannins.
