Schreckbichl, South Tyrol
This traditional cuvee of Cabernet-Sauvignon and Cabernet-Franc is aged for several months in large oak barrels. Vivid ruby red color with garnet reflections. In the fragrance pleasantly spicy of dark forest fruits and some incense. The palate is full-bodied and concentrated, with firm tannins that give the wine backbone. - Gerardo [TS06/22]
Gerardo's Notes: 'The classic line as an upscale standard segment, offers single varietal white and red wines with lots of fruit and typicity. Cabernet belongs to the aristocracy of South Tyrolean varietal wines and has been native to South Tyrol for over a hundred years. Dense ruby red, concentrated ripe fruit such as black currant, blackberry, powerful on the palate, full-bodied, warm with fine tannin texture and good freshness.
