Tenute Rubino is constantly growing: The commitment to environmental sustainability is reinforced every day through agricultural practices aimed at reducing the environmental footprint at each stage of production. The company is a member of the VIVA project and since 2016 of SQNPI, Italy's national integrated production system, and is CSQA certified for wine and olive cultivation. Environmental practices on Tenute Rubino's lands are monitored in accordance with production protocols and SQNPI national guidelines, but also according to a more rigorous corporate approach.

Great attention is also paid to minimizing water resources by using irrigation for production exclusively as a 'saving' solution. This conserves local water resources and maintains the quality of the soil. Weed control is mechanical without the use of chemicals. The same focus on sustainability also underlay the plans for the new winery: it was built in the heart of the Jaddico winery and designed according to the most modern parameters of bioarchitecture - including the use of exclusively local and traditional building materials.

The new winery has a minimalist and linear design to reduce its visual impact and blend into the landscape, while creating an unforgettable setting that makes the most of this unique viticultural jewel of the Brindisi area. Every single element of the structure has been selected with energy saving in mind, and all parts of the building will. All parts of the building will be insulated to achieve the most sustainable temperature control and reduce electricity demand.
