The Scaia wine-growing region extends northeast of Verona, in close proximity to the traditional areas of Valpolicella and Soave. Located on the rolling hills at the foot of the Alps, the vines benefit from optimal sunlight, fresh mountain winds, and calcareous soils, which give the wines their distinctive freshness and finesse. But Scaia is much more than just a wine line—it embodies a new way of thinking about wine that consciously breaks with tradition without denying it. Here, the spirit of innovation combines with the rich history of Veneto to create wines that are modern, accessible, yet deeply rooted in the terroir.
The desire to reinterpret the classic values of the region initially resulted in three Scaia wines, which were aged exclusively in stainless steel tanks and characterized by freshness, lightness, and aromatic clarity. These were later followed by two more complex interpretations, which gained additional depth and structure through the use of slightly dried grapes, without losing their lively fruitiness and elegance.
