Marsuret | Veneto

The Marsuret sparkling wine cellar looks back on a history steeped in tradition that is closely linked to the Valdobbiadene region and Italian Prosecco. In the 1950s, Giovanni Marsuret expanded the winery founded by his brother Agostino into a specialized Prosecco winery - with the aim of producing sparkling wines of the highest quality from the indigenous Glera grape variety. Since its beginnings, Marsuret has pursued a consistently artisanal approach: fermentation, bottling and refinement are carried out with the utmost precision, always focusing on the character of the respective vineyard.

The approximately 45 hectares of vineyards that Marsuret cultivates today are located in the best sites in the Prosecco region - including plots in the renowned Cartizze vineyard. All the grapes come from the company's own vineyards, giving it full control over quality at every stage of the winemaking process. Despite its increased size, the artisanal structure of the company has been preserved to this day. Marsuret is still family-owned, which is reflected not only in the quality philosophy, but also in the personal interaction with customers and partners.

Today, the winery is run with passion and vision by Walter and Hermes Marsura, Giovanni's sons. They represent a new generation that combines tradition with innovation and leads the family business responsibly into the future - always under the banner of authentic Prosecco from Valdobbiadene. - Gerardo [TS04/25]

"With commitment and competence, the Marsura family manages the winery founded by grandfather Agostino between the two world wars. At that time he had bought the first vineyard in Guia, a village in the east of Valdobbiadene. The Cartizze is the most interesting representative of the bottled squadron here, a wine scented with bright fruits and flowers, with a fine persistent carbonic acidity." - Gambero Rosso

"Marsuret is a family-run farm based in Guia di Valdobbiadene in the Veneto region - the area where the unique Prosecco was born - and one of the most famous brands of Valdobbiadene. 'Marsuret' was the nickname of Agostino Marsura, who founded the company in 1936. Today Ermes Marsura and his sons Alessio and Enrico run the traditional company. The philosophy is to produce very high quality Valdobbiadene - fresh and fruity, creamy and soft, endowed with well balanced acidity, elegant and easy to drink." - Falstaff
