The name Carano comes from the native origin of the Di Pauli family in Val di Fiemme. A single-varietal Lagrein of deep dark color, with notes of cherries, blackberries and plums on the nose. In the drink very juicy, with spicy notes and smooth tannins. Pleasantly soft and round in the finish. - Gerardo [TS08/18]
"Deep dark, very rich purple. On the nose of graphite, ripe black currant, heart cherries and white pepper. Dense-bodied palate, builds big, delicate melt, though at the moment still overly marked by the use of wood, still needs to settle down." - Falstaff
