  Borgonero, a Supertuscan from Borgo Scopeto, combines exceptional elegance and personality. The grapes come from the privileged vineyards of Cagliano and Vittoria, which offer ideal conditions in terms of soil, exposure and microclimate at an altitude of 400 to 450 meters. Manual harvesting in Cagliano and mechanized harvesting in Vittoria guarantee a careful selection of the grapes. Alcoholic and malolactic fermentation takes place separately for the different grape varieties in order to preserve their individual characteristics before they are combined into a harmonious cuvée.

The Borgonero impresses in the glass with its deep ruby red color. Its bouquet is noble, expansive and beguiling, characterized by exceptional finesse and elegance. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and rich, with an impressive structure and a velvety softness that makes it appear both powerful and balanced. Borgonero is a real treat with dishes such as grilled meat, roasts, mushroom dishes, truffle specialties or mature cheese. With an ageing potential of over 15 years, it is also an ideal option for collectors. The bottle bears the historic Borgo Scopeto label, which depicts the centuries-old residence of the noble Sozzini family.
