  The single-varietal “Merlot Monte della Guardia” from the Azienda Agricola Ca' Lojera winery on the morainic hills south of Lake Garda reveals its origin in its name: “Monte della Guardia” refers to the sun-drenched slope where the vines are rooted in calcareous and gravelly soils. The grapes are carefully processed, fermented in stainless steel tanks, and stored in the bottle for only a short time, so that the typical fruitiness of the variety is clear and unadulterated. This production method produces a Merlot that combines origin and style consciousness with passion.

In the glass, it displays a bright ruby red color with garnet red reflections—a visual indication of its expressiveness and depth. The nose combines aromas of dark cherries and blackberries with delicate spice notes such as clove and cinnamon—the south-facing slope and warm sun are audibly expressed in the bouquet. On the palate, the fruit glides smoothly, carried by fine tannins and a pleasantly structured texture; the finish is elegant and invites you to take another sip.
