The grapes for this Valpolicella come from 10-year-old vineyards near Monte del Drago. The result is a red wine of medium weight, fine elegance and balance. To be sure, the Valpolicella name still suffers from the region's misdeeds in the 1980s and 1990s. However, producers like Musella prove that an everyday wine doesn't have to be a sweet, thin infusion. Prieure Chambave Moscato Passito Vallée d'Aosta DOC 2018

Several historical testimonies prove that this sweet wine has been produced since ancient times. Thus, as early as 1494, Georges de Challant offered Moscato Passito from Chambave to the King of France Charles VIII. The best yellow muscat grapes are dried in special, well-ventilated rooms. Then the grapes are vinified in the traditional way: The Chambave Moscato Passito thus prepared then rests until Christmas of the year following the harvest.
