Shamaris · Grillo Sicilia DOC 2025

  The Shamaris Grillo Sicilia wine from Cusumano is an impressive showcase for the Sicilian Grillo grape variety - produced in the vineyard of Tenuta Monte Pietroso near Monreale, on sandy and clayey soils at an altitude of about 400 meters, where the north wind breeze of the Mediterranean ensures cool nights and the grapes develop a fine acidity as well as floral and citrus notes. The winery works with the utmost care: cold maceration before pressing, gentle fermentation in stainless steel tanks, and storage on the fine lees create a balance between freshness, origin, and style.

In the glass, Shamaris is a light straw yellow with golden reflections—a visual indication of elegance and clarity. The nose delights with notes of white spring blossoms, yellow melon, citrus peel, and Mediterranean herbs such as thyme and sage, complemented by a noticeable salty minerality reminiscent of a sea breeze. On the palate, it surprises with a lively texture and fine concentration: fruit and minerality engage in a stylish dialogue, supported by a clear structure and a restrained yet present finish.
