The color is muted ruby red with garnet inclusions. On the nose vinous, intense and spicy. Dry and full-bodied on the palate, always harmonious and soft. - Gerardo [TS02/20]
Gerardo's Notes: Named after the tree hawk that stops on its journey in the villages (Contrada) near San Donaci. Here the vineyards consisting of the three native grape varieties Negroamaro, Malvasia Nera and Primitivo offer shade and refreshment. The winter flight of the falcon has marked the image of the landscape, so the wine has been dedicated to this wild bird. 'Contrada del Falco' is a bit more polished than the representatives of the 'Anticaia' line.
