Alta Mora · Etna Rosato DOC 2024

  Cusumano's Alta Mora Etna Rosato is a vibrant expression of the energy and elegance of the volcanic terroir on the slopes of Mount Etna: The grapes - exclusively the indigenous Nerello Mascalese variety - come from an altitude of 750 meters and grow on barren lava rock, rich in minerals and supported by the fresh sea breeze. Carefully selected in the vineyard, the grapes are fermented in stainless steel and the result is gently stored on the fine lees - a process that brings the typical fruitiness of the variety and the volcanic-salty origin clearly and unadulteratedly into the glass.

In the glass, this rosato displays a delicate coral to salmon pink color, almost like a shimmering morning sky over ancient lava. The bouquet unfolds aromas of red summer berries, cherries, and rose petals, carried by a delicate herbal spice and a noticeable salty minerality - signs of its volcanic origins. On the palate, the wine delights with lively freshness, clear structure, and an elegant, dry finish. The precision of its texture, combined with the authentic terroir, makes it a versatile companion—whether as an aperitif or with Mediterranean-inspired dishes—and at the same time a stylish glass that shows character. - Gerardo [TS10/25]
