The Brunello di Montalcino from Podere Giodo is the result of a rigorous selection of the best Sangiovese grapes, which embody the depth and precision of a great Brunello. After a long maturation of two and a half years in French oak barrels and a further 18 months in the bottle, this wine reveals all its elegance and balance. The long ageing gives it remarkable depth and the characteristic, unobtrusive complexity that Carlo Ferrini brings out with the finest craftsmanship. On the palate, the wine is multi-layered and velvety, with a refined yet powerful structure and a soft, harmonious texture. The long finish is exceptional and allows the aromas of dark berries, hints of herbs and a mineral note to linger with impressive intensity - a Brunello of great class and impressive longevity. - Gerardo [TS10/20]
