The South Tyrolean Merlot Lason shows a rich and bright ruby red color in the glass. The aroma is reminiscent of blackberries, sour cherries and licorice. Medium-bodied on the palate with balanced tannins, this is an easy-drinking wine with sweet fruit on the finish. - Gerardo [TS12/20]
"Cantina Kaltern shows great focus on the Merlot grape with this set of new releases. Their Alto Adige Merlot Riserva Lasón, with 30,000 bottles released, is super soft, plush and velvety with lots of dark cherry, plum and dried peach. There is a sweet and supple side to the wine that overtakes the savory side that is normally shaped by the oak aging.
