Greel · Sauvignon Riserva DOC 2019

  The “Greel” Sauvignon Riserva from the Bolzano Winery is a prime example of the fine art of South Tyrolean viticulture. Its grapes thrive on the steep, porphyry-rich slopes of the Ritten above Bolzano, at an altitude of around 550 meters above sea level. These exposed locations offer ideal conditions for Sauvignon Blanc, which develops a special expressiveness here. The grapes are gently pressed and the wine is aged in barriques and tonneaux, which gives it a subtle woody note while preserving the freshness of the grape variety.

In the glass, Greel presents itself in a bright straw yellow with greenish reflections. The bouquet is intense and complex: aromas of gooseberry, elderflower, and citrus fruits combine with delicate herbs and a hint of minerality. On the palate, the wine is opulent yet elegant, with a harmonious balance between fruit, acidity, and body. The finish is long and characterized by a subtle saltiness that reflects the wine's origin.
