Lagrein DOC 2023

  The Lagrein from the Bolzano Winery is an authentic expression of South Tyrolean wine tradition. The vines thrive in the warm, sandy alluvial soils around Bolzano, where the pronounced temperature differences between day and night provide ideal conditions for the Lagrein grape. After selective harvesting, traditional maceration takes place, followed by biological acid reduction in stainless steel to preserve the wine's freshness. A short period of maturation in the bottle completes the process and gives the wine its balanced structure.

In the glass, Lagrein presents itself in an intense ruby red with violet reflections. The bouquet seduces with fruity aromas of ripe cherries and blackberries, accompanied by floral notes of violets and lilacs. Typical cocoa notes and spicy aromas lend the wine additional complexity. On the palate, it is powerful with well-structured tannins, elegant and juicy. This Lagrein is an ideal accompaniment to meat dishes, especially game, as well as bacon and sausage.
