Kellerei Terlan, South Tyrol
The rich, impenetrable ruby red color with violet reflections immediately attracts attention. The aroma of this Lagrein selection is multi-faceted and extremely intense. It is characterized by a hint of liquorice, coffee beans, vanilla pod, cloves and black tea. It is both spicy and juicy and fruity, with aromas reminiscent of sour cherries and blueberries. The taste is a harmonious composition with very compact and concentrated, multi-layered aromas. These are characterized not only by juicy fruit, but also by a peppery spiciness and a slightly sweetish bitter chocolate note, rounded off by finely polished tannins. - Gerardo [TS03/22]
