Quarz · Sauvignon DOC 2023

  The “Quarz Sauvignon” from the Terlan Winery reflects the special terroir of South Tyrol with impressive clarity: produced from the single-varietal Sauvignon Blanc grape, the wine grows on the so-called quartz porphyry soils in the Terlan area—rock veins and mineral inclusions that give the wine its distinctive structure and minerality. Great care is taken in the cellar: after selective hand harvesting, the grapes are gently pressed, followed by a combination of stainless steel and wooden barrel aging, which gives the wine depth and elegance without losing the typical freshness of the variety.

In the glass, Quarz Sauvignon is a light straw yellow with greenish reflections - a first indication of its lightness and clarity. On the nose, it unfolds an exotic fruit palette with mango, papaya, lime, and red grapefruit, accompanied by herbal notes such as lemongrass, mint, and green tea, as well as a subtle flint tone that makes the soil profile palpable. On the palate, juicy fruit combines with delicate minerality and clear tension, supported by an elegant texture and a long finish.
