Kreuth · Chardonnay DOC 2019

  The “Kreuth” Chardonnay from the Terlan Winery is the result of an extraordinary combination of craftsmanship, terroir, and style: located deep in the Adige Valley, the Chardonnay grapes are rooted in the mineral-rich, porphyry, and calcareous soils of the Winkl, Kreuth, and Montigl vineyards, where alpine nights and Mediterranean days create a distinctive origin. After selective harvesting, the grapes undergo gentle pressing, followed by partial fermentation in stainless steel tanks and large wooden barrels—a process that gives the wine not only radiant freshness but also a fine creaminess and long-lasting structure.

In the glass, the wine is a light straw yellow with green reflections and reveals exotic fruits such as passion fruit, star fruit, and citrus notes in the bouquet, complemented by distinctive flint and mineral hints that make the true character of the terroir palpable. On the palate, this explosion of fruit combines with a smooth texture and a clear yet subtly integrated mineral tension - a wine that shines both as a stylish aperitif and as an elegant accompaniment to fine fish, vegetables, or vegetarian creations. - Gerardo [TS10/20]
