  The Siebeneich Merlot Riserva from the Terlan Winery is a testament to a conscious combination of origin and style: in the wind-protected Siebeneich vineyard near Terlan, the Merlot vines are rooted in sandy-loamy soils with a high quartz and porphyry content, which gives the wine an earthy minerality and contoured depth right from the start. The hand-picked grapes undergo fermentation in stainless steel tanks and subsequent maturation—partly in large wooden barrels, partly in barriques—resulting in an elegant structure with polished tannins.

In the glass, the “Siebeneich” Merlot Riserva presents itself with a sparkling ruby red color that immediately signals both concentration and finesse. The bouquet exudes dense aromas of blackberries, cranberries, and dried plums, accompanied by herbal notes such as eucalyptus and mint, as well as a hint of black pepper—a bouquet that conveys both freshness and depth.
