Lagrein Rosé DOC 2020

  The Lagrein Rosé from the Tramin Winery is a refreshing expression of South Tyrolean wine tradition, presenting the characteristic fruitiness of the Lagrein grape in an elegant rosé interpretation. The grapes thrive at altitudes between 250 and 400 meters above sea level on soils with a loamy, calcareous content, which gives the wine a fine minerality. After harvesting, the grapes are destemmed and, after a short maceration period, fermented in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature to preserve freshness and fruitiness. The wine is also aged in stainless steel tanks, without malolactic fermentation, to preserve its lively acidity and clear fruitiness.

In the glass, Lagrein Rosé displays a delicate pink to light ruby red color. The bouquet seduces with aromas of red berries, cherry, and a hint of violet, which continue on the palate. The wine is fresh, lively, and harmonious, with a fine acidity that provides a pleasant freshness. The finish is clear and inviting, making this rosé an ideal accompaniment to summer dishes such as antipasti, grilled vegetables, or light fish dishes. - Gerardo [TS10/21]
