Kellerei Kurtatsch, South Tyrol
Pinot Noir Glen, named after the village of the same name in the municipality of Montan, is the only Kurtatsch terroir wine that does not come from the municipality of Kurtatsch. In the alternation of Mediterranean daytime warmth and cool nights, the aromas condense without losing the concise 'Burgundian' finesse. Riserva Glen is fine, fresh on the nose, with an elegant sweetness reminiscent of mallow. The palate is velvety and exceptionally 'wild berry', hints of fresh raspberries and wild cherries give the subtle fruit sweetness a juicy and delicately spicy backbone. - Gerardo [TS07/19]
