Various small vineyards on gravelly soils with clay content at 250 - 350 meters above sea level are included in Cabernet 'Kirchhügel'. Even in decidedly sunny years, Cabernet 'Kirchhügel' does not become bulky and broad. A typical Unterlandler acidic nerve gives the muscular body sinew and impressive staying power in the bottle. If you are patient with Cabernet 'Kirchhügel', you will be rewarded with exciting tertiary aromas after extended bottle aging, reminiscent of an oriental tea ceremony: cedar, suede, tobacco, toasted hazelnut, cookie and dried blackberries. - Gerardo [TS07/21]
