From the highest point of the highest vineyard at Le Ragose comes the Amarone Caloetto. The terraced vineyard faces southeast on steep slopes and is well above the 'nebbia' (fog) common in the Veneto lower down.
This Amarone clearly shows the Le Ragose signature: wines with dense, grippy tannins and acid-supported vigor. The intense aroma is reminiscent of cherry jam, herbs and some undergrowth. The palate is dense and ripe, while being harmonious and ehed tannic. - Gerardo [TS01/10]
