Graf · Sauvignon DOC 2023

  The name “Graf” Sauvignon from the Merano Winery already reveals a certain dignity - and the wine proves to be a stylish representative of the variety in South Tyrol's vineyards. The vines grow on permeable moraine debris and slate soils, which are characterized by alpine altitudes and Mediterranean influences. Cold maceration and fermentation in stainless steel, followed by fine aging in large wooden barrels, give the wine a balanced blend of freshness and depth.

In the glass, the Graf Sauvignon displays a light yellow-green hue - a visual indication of its liveliness and origin. The nose reveals nuances of elderberry, gooseberry, and green herbs, complemented by a delicate hint of vanilla and light paprika notes. On the palate, the wine displays harmonious fullness, well-integrated fruit, and a clear structure—an elegant accompaniment to asparagus, grilled vegetables, or cheese platters. - Gerardo [TS10/24]
