Mervin · Sauvignon Riserva DOC 2021

  The “Mervin” Sauvignon from the Meran Winery comes from a high-quality single vineyard above Cermes, where the vines are rooted on steep slopes with slate and quartz-rich soils — ideal conditions for minerality and fine expression. After careful hand harvesting, the wine undergoes gentle processing with cold maceration, followed by fermentation in stainless steel and wooden barrels and storage on the fine lees — a process that produces both clarity and depth.

In the glass, the Sauvignon “Mervin” shines with a light straw yellow color and greenish reflections, a visual sign of its freshness and origin. The nose offers aromas of elderflower, tomato leaves, and gooseberries, complemented by finely spiced herbal and mineral notes that subtly convey the alpine effect and the soil. On the palate, the expressive fruit combines with an elegant structure and a long finish—a wine that, with its voice of origin and stylistic purity, is equally convincing as an accompaniment to asparagus, vegetable, and fish dishes, as well as in moments of pure enjoyment. - Gerardo [TS10/22]
