  The Pinot Bianco “Tyrol” from the Merano Winery has its roots in a spectacularly situated single vineyard below the venerable Tyrol Castle - an origin that is already reflected in its name and stands for depth and character. The vines thrive on a steep southwestern slope with permeable moraine debris, exposed to wind and weather, yet still enjoying the tranquility of being bathed in sunshine during the day and cooled by downdrafts at night. Great care is taken in the cellar: Aged partly in steel, partly in large wooden barrels and tonneaux, this Pinot Blanc undergoes careful storage on the fine lees - a process that gives it structure, elegance, and lasting development potential.

In the glass, Tyrol displays a light straw yellow color with a delicate greenish shimmer - a visual indication of its fresh minerality and alpine origin. The nose reveals notes of ripe apple and juicy pear, accompanied by elegant woody hints that reflect the oak barrel aging, and a touch of almonds and hazelnuts that hint at depth and texture. On the palate, this aromatic fruit combines with a polished structure, mineral clarity, and lively presence - the finish is long and stylish.
